The Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) is the most prestigious and comprehensive scholarship for international students in China. It is administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

CSCA and CSC

CSCA is a reference indicator for CSC scholarship evaluation:

• Mathematics: Required for CSC applicants

• Physics / Chemistry: Depends on target program

Taking CSCA does not guarantee a CSC scholarship, but it strengthens the application.

Application Process

1. Research target universities and programs on Campus China
2. Register for CSCA (recommended, not always mandatory)
3. Prepare documents: transcripts, study plan, recommendation letters, health certificate
4. Apply online via Campus China or through Chinese Embassy in your country
5. CSC evaluates applications and matches with universities
6. Receive admission letter and scholarship confirmation
7. Apply for X1 visa with JW201 form
