Jiangsu University is a comprehensive university located in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China. Zhenjiang sits along the southern bank of the Yangtze River, approximately 200 kilometers from Shanghai, and is a city with over 3,000 years of history known for its natural scenery and cultural heritage.

The university traces its origins to 1902 with the founding of Sanjiang Normal College. In 2001, the current Jiangsu University was established through the merger of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhenjiang Medical College, and Zhenjiang Teachers' College.
