Kunming Medical University (KMU), established in 1933, is a medical higher education institution located in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, China. Originally founded as the Donglu University Medical School, it developed through various mergers and name changes, becoming Kunming Medical College in 1956 and achieving university status in 2012. The university's campus is situated in the temperate climate of Kunming, known as the 'Spring City.' KMU has evolved into a comprehensive medical university with a focus on undergraduate and postgraduate education, research, and clinical training.
