Nanjing Medical University (NMU) is a public university located in the city of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. It was founded in 1934 as the Jiangsu Provincial College of Health Policy and is one of the earliest institutions in China to offer graduate programs. The university has evolved into a comprehensive medical university with a primary focus on medicine, while also developing strong programs in science, management, law, and engineering. NMU is recognized for its key disciplines in public health and preventive medicine, clinical medicine, and basic medicine. The university houses multiple national key laboratories and research centers, contributing significantly to medical scientific research.
