Southern Medical University

Southern Medical University is located in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China, a region known for its dynamic economy and cultural heritage. The university was originally founded in 1951 as the First Military Medical University, serving military medical education and healthcare needs. In 2004, it was transferred to civilian management under the Ministry of Education and renamed Southern Medical University, expanding its focus to broader medical and health sciences.
