Overview

Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is China's only university specifically dedicated to teaching Chinese language and culture to international students. Founded in 1962, BLCU has earned the reputation as the "mini United Nations" due to its highly diverse international student body. Located in the Haidian District of Beijing, BLCU is the primary institution for Chinese language training and has educated hundreds of thousands of international students, making it the most experienced university in China for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
